Cornucopia Art Crawl
This year, the 2021 Cornucopia Art Crawl will be a featured destination for “Celebrate the Arts on Bayfield Peninsula”. Put the dates September 11 and 12 on your calendars today and begin to plan an arts-infused weekend on Lake Superior’s Southshore.
This weekend will feature our Cornucopia Art Crawl, the Bayfield Festival of the Arts and Gallery Tour, the Tall Ships at the Bayfield Marina, the Chequamegon Bay Arts Council Virtual Art Sale, and perhaps the Washburn Pottery Festival – all linked by travel on Highway 13, a recently designated National Scenic Byway.
This joint venture is new and exciting for our artists, their patrons, and tourists visiting the area. The artists will share their tremendous talent with visitors to the event. Adult artists will be joined by young artists from the South Shore Schools, showcasing “work for sale” created at the CAC sponsored and CBAC funded Summer Art Camp. Artist venues will be spaced safely per Public Health recommendations and many will be outdoors, weather permitting, ensuring safe shopping for patrons.
We’re looking forward to a large and enthusiastic turnout to support the artists, the local businesses and Marina shops which are hosting the artists. Pair the art adventure with a hike on local trails, a kayak or other boating trip, time on the beach, fine food at one of several venues, and/or with simply exploring our unique village of Cornucopia.
